Kathleen Pamilagas

Kathleen Pamilagas, PA-C, is a dedicated physician assistant at Padilla Family Medicine in Chula Vista, where she provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families. She earned her bachelor’s degree in physiology from UCLA and went on to complete her master’s in physician assistant studies at South College in Nashville. With a strong foundation in both science and clinical training, Kathleen is committed to helping patients live healthier lives through preventive medicine and personalized care.

Kathleen’s passion for medicine was shaped by her visits to the Philippines, where she witnessed the great need for accessible healthcare. This experience inspired her to pursue a career where she could give back to her community while also supporting mission-driven care. In the clinic, she values a holistic approach to medicine—working with patients on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes before turning to medications. She also enjoys procedures such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and joint injections, which allow her to combine her clinical expertise with hands-on care.

Outside of the clinic, Kathleen enjoys staying active and believes in practicing what she teaches her patients. She plays tennis, goes hiking, and makes it a goal to stay moving and outdoors as much as possible. She also loves trying new restaurants, baking cookies, and attending live music concerts. Whether she’s connecting with patients, supporting their health goals, or building relationships with older adults in her care, Kathleen is passionate about making every patient feel heard and valued.
